Our Doctors

Dr. Darrell Winterowd

Welcome to All Pets Veterinary Clinic. My name is Darrell Winterowd, DVM. I established All Pets Veterinary Clinic over 30 years ago. My veterinary special interests include soft tissue surgery, dentistry and wellness visits. I have been on television through KCRG news room for a number of years on Wednesdays. I answer call in veterinary questions and talk about current issues in the veterinary field.

Wellness visits are an important part of canine and feline health. Yearly or bi-yearly physicals are part of practicing good medicine. Wellness visits include a thorough physical, heartworm and tick testing for dogs, possible baseline blood testing and urinalysis. We want to be able to find problems early so that medication and diet will extend your pets life. We all tend to forget that one year of our pet’s life is equivalent to 7 years of our life.

Dentistry has always been a passion of mine. Many owners fail to understand that bad breath, inflamed gums, heavy tartar and rotten teeth can lead to heart, liver and kidney problems. It is very rewarding to see a clean teeth and fresh breath after cleaning and polishing teeth and removing bad ones.

I have also enjoyed visiting and talking to the many clients over the years. I welcome their questions about their pets and also getting to know them on a personal basis.

Dr. Winterowd lives with two dogs and two cats, many horses and three barn cats. He loves living in the country and using heavy equipment around the farm.

Dr. Rebecca Noel

Rebecca Noel, DVM graduated from Iowa State University in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science; then in 2010 with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Noel sees dogs and cats and “small mammals and exotic pets”. Exotic pets and small mammals include non-poisonous snakes, rabbits, chinchillas, ferrets, gerbils and guinea pgs.

One of Dr. Noels special interests is dog and cat behavior. She has attended a number of meetings and seminars on canine behavioral issues such as crate training, separation anxiety, aggression and house training. She is especially interested in puppy and kitten behavioral and initial well visits and socialization. Other areas of interest include feline urinary disease. Trying to determine if the urinary disease is caused by bacteria, crystals and behavioral. Dr. Noel works most of her work week at the All Pets Edgewood location.

Dr. Noel lives with three cats and a Bichon. Her outside interests include reading, volunteering with local shelters and cheering on the Hawkeyes and Cedar Rapids Kernels.

Our Groomers

We have three groomers; Brigitte and Sharon at 6th St. and Tammy at Edgewood. Tammy has over 20 years experience and grooms both cats and Dogs.

We try to make this a good, positive experience. We treat our groom dogs like they are our own pets. Brigitte is great with our feline friends. She grooms a number of long and medium hair cats without having to tranquilize them. Cats are a specialty of hers
Grooming is a customized process with each pet. Haircuts are usually to the breed’s pattern but not limited to them. We try to suit each hair cut to your dog’s personality.

As we are part of All Pets a veterinarian is always available for any medical concerns. Vaccinations and exams can be done while your pet is in for a groom.
We look forward to serving you!
